RICA Survey

The "Let's Get RICA'd" survey explores South Africans' views on the RICA Act, focusing on its enforcement, privacy rights, and areas needing improvement. The survey aims to understand how citizens experience surveillance, their concerns about data privacy, crimes committed through identity theft, and the perceived effectiveness of RICA in balancing national security with individual rights and mobile telephone industry's economic pursuits. The feedback gathered could help identify gaps in RICA’s current framework and inform recommendations for reforms, ensuring that interception laws align more closely with ethical standards and protect citizens’ privacy.
